I am a ceramist. I graduated in fine arts at Tel Hai academic college (2006) and as an art therapist at Lesly University Israel (M.A. 2008) and I continue evolving on that path where both fields meet. In both therapy and art, I find vivid, over-flowing springs, full of the materials I wish to meet, reveal and explore. What interests me more than anything else is my relationship with the material – clay.
I am mostly intrigued by the dialog with my inner, profound, passionate, untamed feelings, which can be reached while my hands and the clay meet.
The process of the creation of the object, parallel with the process of the creation of myself is the part that never ceases to amaze me.
The ever-evolving symbolic language, the aesthetic choices and the intuitive movements, the idea and its way of expression, the technical solutions – I love the lines, I’m intrigued by the spaces, the weight of the forms, the colors and all the other elements that compose the “symphony”.
When instinct, mind and hand come together and the object emerges, I love the electricity that is evoked in me while the clay and I are doing our thing… every time a different kind of a thing….
My studio operates in Monteleone Sabino in Italy. I create in a green, rustic, romantic atmosphere. All my hand-made pieces are the result of an on-going search for forms, colors, lines, fullness and emptiness, containers and contents, surfaces and ideas, challenges, doubts, strengths, earth, fire, water and a deep breath.
All my pieces are also a result of a profound intention to fill them with movement, lightness and clarity.
